Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Own apartment family stay on beach, watch sunsets, breakfast, clean, comfortable, a/c shower quiet, one good Thai local restaurant nearby and laundry facilities. Located about 15 min scooter ride from pier not far from small town. This island very local Thai. We saw big tribes of wild monkeys but they don't venture much from forest. We were only foreigners there as far as we could tell.but this is low season. Best to hire scooter to visit other beaches and caves as main beach in front gets the plastic trash washing down from India bay of Bengal across Andaman Sea in low season.

Negative: The main beach in front gets the ocean of plastic that washes down from India with the low season trade winds - this washes back in high season. But not far on scooter turn off for caves is nice beach protected from this eco disaster and it's all yours.
