Summary: The rooms are fine and the bathroom although 'ageing' was crucially kept clean, with hot water there for shaving! The real downside is breakfast. Instant coffee, white toast and supposedly a cooked item to be ordered. On morning 1, I asked for pork fried rice (Khao pad moo). It came slowly and was lukewarm at best. Either it was reheated (ineffectually) or it was cooked then left to go cold before coming to me. Any little street stall in Thailand knows fried rice comes piping hot from the vendor's wok: it is not hard to get right.
